Pride Week confirmed for January 2023

EIHL confirms Pride initiative for 20223

We’re delighted to confirm that Pride Week will again be part of the Premier Sports Elite League season in 2022/23!

All ten EIHL teams will again hold a Pride Night, with this season’s Pride Week taking place from 20-27 January 2022. Last season, the EIHL partnered with You Can Play and Pride Tape as part of Pride Week and we're excited to confirm partners for this season as the week draws closer.

“Our fans showed us at the Playoff Finals Weekend back in 2019 how important it is to them that our sport celebrates inclusion and diversity, which led to our first Pride Weekend in 2020. We made a very clear commitment then that we wanted to promote the message that ice hockey is a safe space for LGBTQ+ athletes and fans alike, and were able to celebrate that message with fans in areas again in 2021/22,” said EIHL Media & Communications Manager Luke Fisher.

“Every year both us and our partners are blown away by how much our fans support this initiative and we can’t wait for Pride Weekend 2023”.

The fixtures falling within Pride Week 2023 are as follows:

Friday 20.01
Glasgow Clan vs. Nottingham Panthers
Cardiff Devils vs. Belfast Giants

Saturday 21.01
