Belfast Giants made it an unbeaten pre-season thanks to a 5-3 win in Dundee. Gabe Bast's wrap-around put them ahead in the first period, while Darik Angeli made it two at 32:25. Drydn Dow got the Stars back into things four minutes later, but Sean Norris' tip put the Giants back ahead by a pair with 27 seconds left in the period. Mark Cooper and Philippe Sanche traded goals before Colby McAuley scored on the empty net to round things off.

Cardiff made it two wins out of two over Manchester but needed overtime to do it in a tight game at the Storm Shelter. Stephen Johnson grabbed both of Storm's goals, opening things 3:28 in before Justin Crandall tied it up at 10:16. Josh Waller put the Devils ahead in period two, but Johnson tied the game with 14 minutes left in regulation. Trevor Cox hit the OT winner as the Devils skated on the powerplay.

In Sheffield, the Steelers edged Nottingham Panthers 4-3 in regulation to complete a sweep of the weekend's fixtures. Adam Brady had the visitors ahead just 23 seconds in, and that lead held until Daniel Ciampini levelled 26 seconds into period two. Matt Petgrave put the hosts ahead at 34:26 only for Mike Hammond to peg them back 3:39 into the third. Hammond scored again to put the Panthers ahead wit 7:29 left, but goals from Sebastian Piche and Robert Dowd 19 seconds apart swung the game in favour of the Steelers with under four minutes to play.
