Glasgow Clan moved up to sixth in the Premier Sports Elite League table thanks to a big home win over Scottish rivals Fife Flyers.

Rodney Southam's crisp pass found Mathieu Roy for a shorthanded goal to open the scoring at 9:30. Nolan LaPorte doubled Clan's lead with a quick shot through a screen at 11:34, although James Isaacs pulled a goal back for the Flyers with 73 seconds left in the period.

Just under two minutes into the second period, Dyson Steven converted alone in the slot to put the Clan back two ahead from where they didn't look back. Guillaume Gauthier, Stevenson and Roy all scored in just over a four-minute spell to put the home side 6-1 up after 40 minutes.

Gauthier made it 7-1 20 seconds into period three, while Michael McNicholas added a second for the Flyers at 49:25.

The defeat for Fife confirmed they will end this season in tenth.
