Guildford Flames recorded their first road win over Cardiff Devils this season with a 2-1 overtime victory at Ice Arena Wales.

Playing their first game since parting company with former Head Coach Jarrod Skalde, the Devils found themselves behind to a Levi Cable goal after 4:17 - the only thing separating the two teams after 20 minutes.

Matt Register tied the game 66 seconds into period two on the powerplay, but that was to be the final goal in regulation time.

In overtime, Brett Ferguson broke quickly up the wing before cutting inside and beating Mac Carruth to get Guildford the extra point just 56 seconds in.
