Dundee Stars claimed an important road win in Glasgow in front of 2,845 fans at the Braehead Arena.

Two fights inside the opening two minutes got the crowd straight into things in this Scottish derby. Kyle Haas and Dyson Stevenson were first to drop the gloves at 1:56 and, following a lengthy stoppage, were joined by Kalvis Ozols and Cody Sol two seconds later on the clock.

After the pre-show ended 1:58 into things, a hockey game broke out between two teams chasing playoff seeding but despite a string of powerplay opportunities for both sides the period ended goalless.

The second looked like it was heading that way until Clan made a breakthrough with 66 lefts in the period. Brock Beukeboom was the scorer of the game's first goal with a wrist-shot through traffic that he let fly from the point.

Dundee grabbed a late equaliser thanks to Sebastian Bengtsson at 55:51 - Phillipe Sanche shot straight off the faceoff, and while Shane Starrett saved that he couldn't stop Bengtsson netting the rebound.

And it was the impressive Bengtsson who set up the Stars' winner in overtime after the game ended tied at 60 minutes. His neat hands kept hold of the puck and drew the attention of enough Clan players to allow Charlie Combs to sneak in at the back post and deflect the pass over Starrett's line to win it for the Dundee 50 seconds into the bonus period.
