Tonight: Steelers aim to keep pace in Manchester

Manchester Storm host Sheffield Steelers on Wednesday night in a huge game for both teams, and with implications at both ends of the Premier Sports Elite League table.

The Steelers ned to win tonight to keep up pace with Belfast, whose Tuesday night victory in Glasgow re-extended their lead at the top to four points ahead - however, the Giants have played two games more.

Manchester meanwhile need every point they can get if they're to stand any chance of making the playoffs. Ryan Finnerty's team are four points behind Guildford on level games, making the Flames the most realistic target heading into their final seven games. The two teams will play each other home and away on the final weekend of the regular season.

Sheffield ran out 2-1 winners when these sides contested a tight game on Sunday afternoon, keeping up the Steelers 100% record against the Storm this season. With two more games to come, Manchester will need to pick up something to stay in the playoff hunt.
