This fixture was added midweek after the Flames' game in Glasgow was postponed. Guildford head north hoping to end a poor run of form that has seen them lose their last six games, and manage only one win in their last 10. Those results have seen them slip from league leaders to sixth overall, and they've played some six games more than Coventry just five points below them. Paul Dixon's side have averaged 24 goals against across those six defeats and just nine scored.

The Steelers come out of protocol with a three-game winning streak to build on. Before sitting out, the team in orange were on an excellent run of having not lost in regulation for 10 straight games, and in only two of those did they not come out winners. Despite not playing since 27 December, Marc-Olivier Vallerand is still the league's fourth-highest points scorer with 29 in only 18 appearances. Rok Stojanovič leads goalies with 93.98% of shots saved.

Guildford came away with a win on their only visit to Sheffield this season in October, but went on to lose all three home fixtures against the Steelers in 2021.
