The Panthers will be wearing special jerseys for warmup ahead of what is their first home game since relieving Tim Wallace of his duties as Head Coach. Interim coach Mark Matheson led his team to a 4-3 road win in Guildford on Saturday night to move the Panthers back up to fourth in the standings.

Fife picked up a point against Belfast on Saturday for the first time after seven previous attempts ended in a regulation defeat. While yesterday's game eventually did see the Flyers go down in overtime, they were vastly improved from Friday's 4-1 defeat across the Irish Sea. That point, earned by a shorthanded Michael McNicholas goal, moved them off the foot of the table.

The last meeting between these teams in Nottingham saw the Flyers leave with a 4-2 win, although the Panthers repaid the favour with a win themselves by the same scoreline in Kirkcaldy a week later. Fife could climb as high as seventh were they to repeat that feat, while the Panthers need any points they can to close the gap on the top three.
