The Manchester Storm have signed netminder Jason Bacashihua as injury cover for Matt Ginn.

Ginn picked up an injury during Week 7 and has been placed on injured reserve backdated to 8 November. Bacashihua will not count as an official change for the duration of Ginn's time on the IR list.

Bacashihua most recently played for the Dunaújvárosi Acélbikák in Hungary's cross-border Erste Liga. The 39-year-old was a #26 overall pick by the Dallas Stars in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft and played six games in the show. He moved to Euripe in 2012 and spent three seasons in Straubing in the DEL, and then spent two years with Banská Bystrica in Slovakia winning a championship.

"I am delighted to have been able to bring somebody with so much experience and quality," began Head Coach Ryan Finnerty. "‘Cash brings lots of experience and he is ready to step in and help us straight away. All the reports we have had back on him attest to him being an outstanding professional and that is replicated by the number of high-quality leagues he has played in.

"He arrived in the country on Monday, giving him an opportunity to settle in before we faceoff against Coventry and head over to Belfast.”
