Steelers and Devils open Sunday schedule

They met on the opening weekend of this season's Premier Sports Elite League campaign in a thrilling game live on Premier Sports, and this afternoon the Steelers and Devils do battle again for valuable league points.

Sheffield go into this game off the back of a well-fought road win in Nottingham on Saturday night. Aaron Fox's team are the leading scorers across league and cup with 75 goals in just 17 games so far, averaging almost 4.5 per game. In Marc-Olivier Vallerand, Daine Todd and Justin Hodgman, the Steelers have three of the league's top five points scorers - totalling 44 points between them already.

This is a game that Cardiff, despite it only being mid-November, cannot really afford to lose. With a .500 record through seven games, and at best three points behind the Steelers if the Devils won their games in hand, the visitors cannot really afford too many more slip-ups in games against title rivals if they want to challenge for the league this season. Brodie Reid continues to be the league's top goalscorer with nine in seven games to date.

This afternoon's game is a 4pm start - tickets are on sale here, with a webcast here.
