Quick turnaround as Devils host Dundee

Thursday night action in the Elite League

Less than 48 hours after playing Champions Hockey League in Gothenburg, Cardiff Devils are back on home ice to take on Dundee Stars in the Elite League.

The Devils are currently second in the EIHL with six points from four games - the Stars are a point behind having played two games more. Dundee do however arrive in Cardiff full of confidence - Omar Pacha's side won both of their games last weekend to secure top spot in their Challenge Cup Group. The Devils beat Manchester at the Viola Arena last weekend in league action, but then went on to lose in Coventry in the cup before the 9-2 defeat to defending CHL champions Frölunda.

"I’ve been very impressed with Dundee this season. I think they’re a very fast team who play hard and with a great transition game. They’ve picked up some big wins already and will be coming into the Viola full of confidence." - Andrew Lord (Head Coach, Cardiff Devils)

"We just need to use our speed, I think that has played a part in our success recently and we have been playing well defensively but when we use our speed that’s when we become a better team on the ice. I know we are on the bus for 10 hours but we just need to be ready come puck drop. We need to focus on the game and even though it is tough travel, it is a part of hockey and we just need to be ready for the game. We know they have a good team but we have shown that we can play against those guys.” - Anthony Beauregard (Forward, Dundee Stars)

Face-off tonight is at 19:30.
