Week 7: Four days of action

A look ahead to what's coming up this week!

Week 7 for Elite Ice Hockey league teams is a busy one - we've got four days of games to look forward to!

On Tuesday, Belfast Giants and Cardiff Devils return to Champions Hockey League action. The Devils head up to defending champions Frölunda Indians top of Group H as they try to find a way into the last 16. Belfast host fellow SHL side Luleå Hockey knowing that a loss (and other results going against them) could see them eliminated from the tournament - the Giants have, though, yet to lose at home in regulation in the CHL so far.

Thursday sees league action, and it's a quick turnaround for Cardiff who are back on home ice to face Dundee.

On Saturday there are four games: Glasgow and Belfast meet in the Challenge Cup, in a match where the Giants must get at least a point to go through to the next round. Fife, who will be hoping they don't, host Sheffield in the league, while Guildford welcome Nottingham and Manchester entertain Coventry.

Sunday sees Sheffield in part two of their double-header, travelling over to Dundee; while Glasgow and Belfast do battle again but this time for league points. Nottingham make the long trip up to Fife, while Cardiff head to Coventry again a week on from their 3-1 defeat - this time with league points at stake.
