Gibson 'bringing good things' to Blaze

Defenseman Dane Gibson is Danny Stewart's latest recruit to his 2021/22 Coventry Blaze roster.

The 6’2” Canadian played for the University of Calgary in USports for three seasons before the pandemic, ending with 24 points in 70 games. He also spent two seasons in the NCAA and was 4+8 through 54 matches.

"Dane brings a lot of good things to our back end. He’s got great size, great skating ability and another guy that can make plays under pressure," commented Stewart. "We, again, wanted mobility at the back without sacrificing too much size, and he ticks both boxes. It will be his first-year pro, but is older now after playing at the University level.

We feel he has a lot of upside, along with the right attitude to do well for us next season."
