Travis Oleksuk will be a Sheffield Steeler in 2021/22, it was confirmed this morning.

The Canadian forward heads to Yorkshire after five seasons in the EBEL/ICEHL - firstly two in Bolzano and three in Graz. The 32-year-old played 245 regular season games combined for those two teams and returned 142 points, as well as lifting the EBEL Championship in Bolzano in 2017 and playing in the Champions Hockey League for Graz in 2019.

"Travis is a high-end two-way centre who can play all three forward positions," said Head Coach Aaron Fox of his latest recruit. "He will really solidify our depth down the middle and will give us some excellent options when constructing different line options.

"I like his gritty offensive game and is really good in tight areas. He will be a guy who excels on our PP and can kill penalties. I think his winning pedigree and his character will be perfect for our group."
