Guildford have added to their British core of players for 2021/22 with the signing of expereicned forward Robert Lachowicz.

The Great Britain international has represented his country for 11 straight seasons at senior level, and has clocked up over 65 caps for the national team. In the Elite League, Lachowicz has played more than 700 games and scored almost 350 points.

"When you look at Robert’s paper resume for hockey, it is hard to get your mind around the kind of domestic and international career he has put together," said Flames Head Coach Paul Dixon. "There are only a handful of domestic players historically who stack up to the experience he has playing with a flagship type domestic club for so long and with such longevity within the national programme.

"He has been a quality player in this league for more than a decade and we know that with his pace, skills and experience there is no doubt that he is going to be an impactful player for us when we get started in September."

Lachowicz has played all of his hockey in Nottingham save for one season with the Manchester Phoenix in the EPL as a youngster. The 31-year-old has won an EIHL league title, seven Challenge Cups, and four playoff trophies, as well as having played for the Panthers in the Champions Hockey League.

"I am looking forward to getting down there and getting started," said the forward. "I've heard lots of good things about the club and looking forward to some new opportunities and having a successful year with the team."
