Ahead of Round 6 starting this evening, we take a look at some of the more interesting numbers jumping out of the statistics so far!

Steelers dominate offense... and penalty box

  • Five of the 11 players with at least six points in the Series so far play for Sheffield
  • The Steelers have nine players who are +4, no other team has higher than a +3 on their roster
  • They have scored more goals (28) than Coventry and Nottingham combined (25)
  • Sheffield (78PIM) have almost twice as many penalty minutes as any other team (Coventry: 45)

Goalies

  • Shane Owen's save percentage of 92.31% is almost 5% higher than the next-best goalie, Jackson Whistle (87.84%)
  • No goalie has a goals-against average under 3.00 - Owen is the closest at 3.01

Defensemen

  • Jérémy Beaudry (Sheffield) has more points than 45 of the 55 forwards in the series
  • Brendan Ellis (Nottingham) is the unluckiest shooter so far: 22 shots but no goals

Forwards

  • Sam Duggan, Simen Edvardsen (both Coventry) and Ollie Betteridge (Nottingham) have scored all of their goals so far on the powerplay
  • Johno May (Nottingham) leads forwards for the most shots without scoring (20 SOG)
