With only two days to go until the start of the 2021 Elite Series, the Coventry Blaze and Nottingham Panthers will get their first taste of facing each other this evening at the Motorpoint Arena.

The teams will contest a friendly match as preparation for Saturday's opening day of games, which will also serve as a rehearsal for the Elite League's production team.

"We have an eight-camera setup, flash interview zone, commentary positions, studio, and in-game graphics all ready to go ahead of Saturday, so it's really important that we do a full run-through before the first live broadcast," explained Head of Hockey Operations, Mick Hicks. "We know that the fans are absolutely ecstatic about the return of top-flight ice hockey and would love to watch tonight's exhibition game as well, but we want to make sure everything runs smoothly before we go live this weekend."

Updates from tonight's game will be posted on social media, with a short highlights package published on Friday morning to show you what you can expect from our live streaming during this series!
