FOX RE-SIGNS FOR PANTHERS
May 23, 2012
Nottingham Panthers press release
Jordan Fox will be back with the GMB Nottingham Panthers next season.
Fox played a massive part in repeating the double success of winning the Challenge Cup and and Play-Off Championship last season.
On an individual level, he was named most 'Entertaining Player of the Year' by the fans and he was voted 'Players’ Player of the Year' too. He had 74 points in 54 games last year, including 24 goals.
Coach Corey Neilson said of the latest capture: “What can you say? Jordan is a leader on the ice and in the locker room. He’s a winner.
"We spoke at length before he left and now those talks have come to fruition. He had offers, obviously in this country and abroad, but he wanted to come back and that was half the battle.
"We loved having him here last season and he knows what to expect of us and he knows what we expect of him.
"It’s another key signing and we’ve got more, hopefully, in the pipeline and they could be finalised sooner rather than later.
“It is always a busy time of year. But that's why we all enjoy being involved so much. We enjoy the hard work and putting things together for what promises to be another big year of Panthers’ ice hockey.
“And now it’ll be another year of Panthers’ ice hockey featuring the fabulous Mr Fox, who wouldn’t be excited by that?"
