Edinburgh Capitals press release

Edinburgh Capitals are happy to support Breast Cancer Care and will be wearing pink strips in support of the charity this weekend.

Thousands of mums hear the devastating news that they have breast cancer every year.

‘The Big Pink Bucket Collection – Do it for mum’ will raise funds to enable Breast Cancer Care to provide free information and support for the 4,300 people diagnosed with breast cancer in Scotland each year.

Breast Cancer Care’s Area Fundraiser, Hannah Weddell said: "We are delighted that the Edinburgh Capitals are becoming part of the ‘Big Pink Bucket Collection’ through their Mother's Day game against the Belfast Giants.

" Every 10 minutes, someone in the UK hears the devastating news that they have breast cancer.

"Every penny raised through the Big Pink Bucket Collection will enable Breast Cancer Care to continue providing expert and professional support to anyone affected by this life threatening disease.

"We would like to say a huge thank you to the Edinburgh Capitals and their fans for supporting our campaig."
